Deaducated Horror Challenge Day #23: Film From the Seventies

Going beyond genre and choosing a single favorite film from a decade is impossible. The seventies and eighties have a ridiculous amount of amazing horror films. So although my favorite film from this decade may change on a day to day basis, Phantasm is the one that I have watched more than any other. This is an incredible series and the first film barely squeaks into this category with a 1979 release. This film is weird, scary, and gory. The set design has hints of Argento, while the direction has flashes of Kubrick. The soundtrack is even awesome. It is an all around great film that started a huge cult following. This is the same cult following that is waiting, with open arms, for the fifth installment.

Stay dead-ucated!
