Deaducated Horror Challenge Day #22: The Giallo Film

The Italian Giallo film is the true precursor to the American Slasher film. It does, however, cover a wide range of Italian sub genres. It is a murder mystery, with some elements of horror and psychological thrillers mixed in. There are tons of them out there. Some come from the masters of horror, but there are plenty of lesser known gems that are tons of fun. I chose this one from Lucio Fulci. Although it is not insanely popular among the genre or even among other Fulci films, I feel like it is one that people should know about. Don’t Torture a Duckling is a controversial and disturbing mystery about child murder. Here is my VHS copy, along with a very normal family that puts up with all of my weird shit.
